In addition, all staff are required to be CPR and First Aid qualified. Several trainings specific to the YMCA or the profession of child care will also be required within the first 30 days of employment. Requirements
Must meet minimum qualifications as determined by the state licensing standards. BA degree or equivalent 2 years experience working with children in licensed child care program or comparable program. One year of supervisory experience preferred. Must have great communication and organizational skills, with ability to work independently, according to YMCA standards.
Basic Job Function
Planning, supervising and implementing developmentally appropriate programs in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the YMCA. Responsible for the safety, accountability, and supervision of children. Develop and implement daily curriculum, ensure YMCA and licensing standards are maintained at all times, and develop relationship with parents and community members.

Must support Site Director, program goals and mission, create and implement daily curriculum, supervise children in group environment, and maintain YMCA and licensing standards.

These positions vary by Region, with programs operating out of several school districts including: Beaverton, Canby, Corbett, Forest Grove, Gresham, Hillsboro, Portland, Sherwood, Tigard, Vancouver, West Linn and Wilsonville.
The majority of these positions are part-time, between 30-35 hours per week and are split-shifts. Exact times vary by location. Excellent opportunity for those in school or those wishing to become involved in the field of education, as most sites are located on the school ground.

Requirements
Must meet minimum qualifications as determined by the state licensing standards. Two years experience working with children within a child development center. Ability to develop curriculum, create class room resources and relate effectively to children and their families.
Basic Job Function
Planning, supervising and implementing developmentally appropriate programs in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the YMCA. Responsible for the arrangement, appearance of the learning environment. Assist the Center Director in the assessment of developmental levels of children and evaluation of staff.
